Inspired by the view from Telscombe Cliffs on a February afternoon as the final light of the day briefly broke beneath a bank of cloud. A narrow band of sunlight reached the sea and illuminated the darker clouds above the horizon. The painting reflects that fleeting coastal moment when the last light briefly transforms the sky before evening settles in.
